Dear Friends,
As
many of you are aware, the horses are a big asset here at Faith Ranch. We
grow all their food, but there are other necessities the horses need which
have to be purchased for them. This is where you
can participate. Worming, vaccinating, halters, and other
equipment all add up, so we are asking you to consider “adopting” a
horse. This could be a great family project. J Wash windows
together, mow lawns, clean a neighbor’s basement, have a garage sale,
whatever!
If
you commit to “adopting” a horse, you will have several options to
choose from. If you’d like to help and can only give a one-time gift
towards West Nile Virus vaccinations that would be a great blessing. West
Nile Virus KILLS horses but
there is a vaccine to prevent it. The vaccine costs $32.00 per horse for
the first year and $16.00 each for yearly boosters after that. Any small
gift towards this will add up.
If
you choose to “adopt” a horse, you can choose from the following
levels:
·
Basic - $75.00 a year. This will help cover West Nile
vaccines, worming, and other important vaccinations such as rabies and
tetanus.
·
Intermediate - $200.00 a year. This covers the above plus farrier
needs and some small equipment, such as halters, bridles, cinches, etc.
·
Advanced - $750.00 a year. This covers the above plus one half
the general upkeep(feed, fencing, etc).
·
Equestrian - $1200.00 a year. This covers the basic upkeep of a
horse for a year at Faith Ranch.
Payments
may be made annually, quarterly, or monthly.
You
may choose which horse to sponsor, or “adopt”, and at what level you
want to do so. Have a first and second choice in case someone else has
already chosen that horse or we can choose one for you.
Your donations are all tax-deductible, and in return you’ll have the
satisfaction of knowing you are helping to care for one of God’s greatest
creations. We will send you pictures of the horse you sponsor, and keep
you posted on how it is doing. If you choose a bred mare (there are about
17 of them), you would have the excitement of meeting her baby
come Spring.J Any time you are planning to visit and would like to see the horse you
sponsor, let us know and we will try to have it available. Since this will
be tax-deductible, riding privileges do not come with your “adoption”.
If however, you purchase a trail ride or come for camp and the horse you
have sponsored is suitable and available, you may request to ride it. You
could even purchase a shirt with its picture on it!
We
are very excited about this project and all moneys sent will go directly
towards this program. If you want to participate and need a list of
horses, or want to know who is bred, please contact the ranch office.
Remember the trusty mount you went through the woods on, the fuzzy pony
your child had his or her first ride on? These are the ones who will
benefit from your gifts! God has used these wonderful animals to impact
lives. You can help us keep them and their equipment in the best shape
possible. Please pray about participating in this new opportunity. Thanks!
Sincerely in Christ,
